Amanda Jones - Head Trainer
Amanda has been riding since before she could walk and has always had a love and passion for horses. When she was very young Amanda had a dream to ride jumping horses and would show at the local 4-H and club shows. She always had that competitive edge, and was frustrated with herself if she was not in the ribbons. At a very young age her mom bought her a blind pony, thinking that would teach her some riding skills and also patience with the horses. That rotten little pony was the one that taught Amanda the art of compromise. She would spend all afternoon whispering in that ponies ear, asking for alittle grace to not buck her off that day. Mom soon got rid of the pony and she moved in to the Quarter Horse world.
Amanda has shown reiners and worked with Clay Webster of Webster Performance Horses and even tried her hand at Working Cow Horse. Having worked for Loren Chrisitianson of Classic Performance Horses for 3 yrs, loping, cleaning stalls and helping with the training, Amanda found her passion Cutting horses. Knowing that it takes allot of work, always learning taking as many clinics as she can and always listening to the ones who have been doing it for allot of years. It has been a hard road but with so many amazing friends and trainers that continue to help her along, we look forward to watching the years unfold.
Amanda and her hubby Nik are so proud of their new addition Jonas Paul, born March 14, 2009. He hangs out with Grandma or dad as Amanda pursues her career as a cutting horse trainer. Having last fall being her most thrilling time yet, she placed her 3 yr old Smart Little Jaebar mare "Smart In A Instant" in the finals at the Wrangler Futurity and placing 5th in the Open. She has trained that mare right from the start and also started some of the other finalist between the Canadian Supreme and other Futurities.

Jody and Glenda keep the farm running. We are very blessed and thankful for these two beautiful ladies. With lots of horse knowledge and such fantastic personalities, they are a joy to have as TopNotch Staff. Thank you Jody and Glenda for being a very valuable part of our team.
